Wait ... don't tell me you're going to put an intake on a turbocharged system, are you?

It's pretty much useless to even bother doing that as the most you're going to do is smooth out your torque curve and lose power overall. Really, if you're thinking of an intake - just don't. Unless it's just for sound.

Have you checked the actual ECU from the donor Evo? Also, have you decided what generation Evo you're planning on using? The actual physical ecu may not work. It's safer to run a standalone or run a ECU flash and street tune/dyno tune it.
Also, in regards to your MIVEC idea, it won't work. At least not with extensive mods. It's been discussed on club3g a few times and the general consensus is that it's just not worth it. The MIVEC functions is strictly through the useage of drive-by-wire technology. It senses the amount of pressure you're putting on your throttle and the information is sent to the ECU which then goes to the rest of the systems - setting the cam profiles appropriately. In order to use the MIVEC you would have to rip out pretty much the whole electrical part of the evo. It'd be cheaper to just go and buy a used evo by the time you're done.

If I may ask, what swap do you keep mentioning? It's not really that clear. If you're talking about switching out the 4G63 for the Evo's ... if I may ask, why not just run the Evo? The amount of money it sounds like you're prepared to dump into this project car sounds like it'd be better utilized in getting the Evo running and just putting mods into that. At least that way you'd be getting a newer car.
If you're dead set on putting the Evo engine into the 2G, please keep in mind all the money it's going to cost to retrofit it into the engine bay and note that at that point, it's not an Eclipse anymore.
Good luck though, let me know what you decide.[/b]
