maybe an srt-6 or srt-4 motor with lots of wiring involved, and more plumbing for turbo. i havent really looked into it. the intrepid is a 6 cyl FWD right? it might require more modification than you might be ready to dive into. but look for some mopar-head forums and see what kind of things they are swapping...

Chrysler, Dodge, Mitsubishi, and Plymouth had a pact back in the early 90's. They're pretty different companies now I would argue.

The Magna in Australia is the equivalent of the Galant and the Eclipse platforms over here. When they get a Ralliart Magna it's pretty much their Ralliart Eclipse with MUCH less emission guidelines.

Go MOPAR if you can. If not, scrap the idea, keep it as a daily driver, and get a racing platform to work with. A heavy FWD vehicle is not a good platform to be working with and besides, if you were to even bother trying to put a motor in there think of how much money you'd be dropping into this. Probably far more than you paid for the car.

Cost of the motor, cost of custom motor mounts, cost a new transmission (if you didn't get a motor that is mateable), cost of relocating various parts of the engine bay, cost of modifying engine bay, misc costs ( wires, oil, plugs, etc), and the labor.

Think about it.
