choices choices

Postby Interceptor on Fri Nov 06, 2009 1:54 am

I need some input from the royal court, i recently discussed my car situation with my mom. She doesn't understand why im paying 3000 over book value for a car im not driving. Hence why she agrees I should get something newer that makes more sense to pay off. Hence my choice to chase an srt 4, thos of you who know me know I adamantly hate dodge, but the srt is a bastard DSM so i can live with making that choice, so id like some opinions my gs is booked around 2000-2500, and i owe about 6000 or so on it.....the book on the neon is around 9000ish i know what i owe gets tacked on to the nexxt loan and that i need to be working (actively applying) but I wanna know who thinks I should stick with the gs and who thinks I should move on when its possible for those of you wondering, all the parts I recently got for my car i'll keep as I plan on getting another DSM eventually because lifes no fun without a track car lol get at me

you're still going to be paying for the eclipse even if you buy the neon... so i feel it makes more sense to stick with the GS. if the argument is why pay $3000 over book value for a car you're not driving i would counter with 'why pay $3000 over book value for a car you are no longer driving, in addition to new loans'. in the same vein, think about how much the modifications and upgrades you want to make for the neon would cost compared to what you already have for the GS. you'd get about $2,000 off of the $6,000 for trade in, with the repairs needed they're not going to give you the upper end is my guess, so you'll still owe $4,000 on a car you don't even own anymore.

that and robbie's over here saying he wants to take a closer look at the GS and perhaps look under it, cause the repair is probably w/in his abilities.

what tegan said is what i was thinking, i also whanted to know if it is still street legal (registered, insured?) cause we could drive it to AT to look at the depth of the repairs on a lift and get prices right there by calling around to the local parts stores.
i dont know exactly when id be avilable to help you do this (a few weeks at the soonest) but get at me and let me know whats up.
i might be able to get someone to tow it for a small fee.

i figure there is more than was put in text... i just answered based on what was written. and even if there is more robbie will still probably want to try and fix it. he likes to resurrect cars.
