Almost ready

Postby Ace on Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:20 am

I have a 95 eclipse rs that is almost ready to hit the streets, when most of the real fun will begin. Im lookin into turbo setups and all kinds of other goodies but right now Im lookin to get it on the road hopefully to unveil at the july meeting. Already have altezzas, halo projectors and some small goodies on the way. check the cardomain page if youd like feedback would be great.

Okay so a lot has been done with the eclipse and when I say its getting nowhere fast I mean its redlining nicely in park lol. I have a new pair of bumpers on the way, lookin into gettin myself a powdercoated valve cover when I replace the valve cover gasket that just cooincidently had to be done O:) and lots of other little fun items Ill do a writeup when I actually have a chance maybe tomorrow but theres a list of things done and of things left to do. Still hasnt stopped bein fun tho and thats what counts.

Honesty I dont think Ill find on i can afford anytime soonthat Ill really be happy with. I could get a t4 manifold, then a t4 turbo ad find the rest of th exhaust, etc all iece by piece but if I turbo m gonna have to rebuild the motor. If I rebuild the motor why go with the typical t4? Why not a 20g or somethin to really move it? Which will be another few grand. Im thinkin about gettin her outa the garage, and finding myself a projct 420a motor for a couple hundred bucks that I can tear down and rebuild with stronger inernals. Ill obviously have fun with my motor in the process but mainly bolt on. Of curse thats all IF Im lucky enough to find a project motor.

I feel you on that. i wanted to supercharge my shhit box but i def need a transmission even before doing any mods, and if i buy the supercharger i have to buy a new ECU. money that just aint around when you want it to be. good luck with the search though. keep us posted.
